Our Adobe wizards are always on hand to wave their magic wand and turn any photograph into something truly special and memorable. We don’t rely on gimmicks. We rely on our expertise and experience. We are lighting and retouching experts, coupled with fantastic styling

EmmaJ (Director) – Head Ninja & Founder
An ex-model and DJ, in 2009 I had a dream and a vision! Bored of seeing the same one dimensional, poorly executed DJ and Band press shots, the same old male artists in hoodies against graffiti walls, I knew there was another way! I am the driving force behind Woolhouse Photographic and Design Studios. We are different; a new way of thinking, a 21st century way of thinking, the press shot with sleek artwork, lighting and editing used by the fashion industry.

In the summer of 2009 backed by the music industry I selected the best in the finest photographers, retouchers, illustrators all personally handpicked. Having worked with all of my team personally during my modelling career, I selected them not only for their talents, but for their flair, fun, patience, humour an infectious passion for what we do.

All ingredients which are key to both relax everyone who walks through our doors, and to create dynamic images. What started out as a simple photographic company, evolved into a one-stop-shop for all recording artists. From photography, stemmed great lighting, retouching, styling, grooming, branding, album artwork, video production, live show animation and web site design.

A studio where ideas and creativity run free, a design studio encompassing everything modern day techniques have shown us. We are Woolhouse Studios! I am nothing without our team and everything with them.. Our team is the creative driving force behind Woolhouse Studios; everything we believe and stand for is a measure of their creativity. They offer thousands of hours experience and expertise and are the true stars of Woolhouse Studios. Let me introduce you to the Woolhouse Ninjas.

Joanna Betts – Photographer Assistant / Behind the scenes stills
Having originally trained as an actress, in 2009 Joanna decided to change direction and pursue her passion for photography. What excites Joanna, both in terms of her own work and that of other photographers, is the ability to convey story, meaning and emotion through a picture, creating a beautiful photo that can move and inspire the viewer.

In the words of Dorothea Lange:“While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.”

Lithium Picnic – US Photographer and First Class Illustrator
Philip Warner aka Lithium Picnic is an award-winning freelance portrait and entertainment photographer based in Houston, Texas. His work has been published all over the world and his work can be found on Playboy.com, the E Channel, MTV, a trailer for CSI-NY and in galleries across the US and Germany.

Michael Hussar (Painter): "Although he uses a camera, make no mistake about it Philip is a Painter. He paints with light. His palette is a prism as rich and painterly as any Goya or Velasquez or Vermeer. Through the vessel that is the female landscape, he effortlessly establishes a direct and powerful visual dialogue with the viewer that is both voyeuristic and present. He stands alone because his work is authentic. And authenticity speaks to us all universally."

Jeffery Scott 1019 – US Photographer and Award Winning Illustrator
World famous, Jeffery Scott (1019) is the visionary who creates the vividly detailed art that we see in our brightest dreams and most horrible nightmares. His images of gods, monsters, demons, angels, saints, and bio-mechanical sex symbols can be seen all across the world, and with EmmaJ having worked and shot with Jeffery previously, there is no finer man or talent to bring to Woolhouse in terms of production and those seeking the darker side of imagination and artwork.

Every piece has its own characters, its own story, something rarely seen anymore. As if it were a single framed motion picture - composing these images as if they were symphonies. The composited multi-layers of the images are not unlike that of life. They build on each other, like that of a continuing series of events that construct the days in our lives.

A few years after arriving in London, he started his career on the alternative fashion scene then went on to work within the hair and fashion industry with up and coming designers, where during those years he has accumulated a multitude of magazine and book publications all over the world.
